Magnetic powder brake It is a new type of transmission component that uses magnetic powder as a medium to form a magnetic powder chain to transmit torque when energized. It is mainly composed of an inner rotor, an outer rotor, an excitation coil, and magnetic powder. The magnetic powder brake loads the output end, which is very effective, easy to operate, and accurate in measurement. The size of the load value of the magnetic powder brake is controlled by the current.
When the coil is not energized, the active rotor rotates. Due to the centrifugal force, the magnetic powder is thrown onto the inner wall of the active rotor in the electromagnetic de-energized brake, and there is no contact between the magnetic powder and the driven rotor, and the active rotor idles. After the DC power supply is turned on, an electromagnetic field is generated, and the working medium magnetic powder forms a magnetic powder chain under the action of magnetic lines of force, connecting the inner rotor and the outer rotor, thereby achieving the purpose of transmitting and braking torque.
Characteristics of magnetic powder brakes
1. Frequent engagement and disengagement, fast response speed, high frequency, widely used in fast working conditions and high-frequency occasions.
2. Good linearity, the torque is proportional to the excitation current within a wide range, and it can be used as a linear adjustment element.
3. Constant output torque, because the size of the torque only depends on the size of the excitation current, and has nothing to do with the slip speed.
4. High power amplification factor, a very small excitation current can control a large transmission power, and it is easy to achieve automatic control.
5. Stable operation, there is no vibration, impact, or noise during starting, running, and braking.
6. Overload protection, in case of torque overload, it automatically slips to overload protection.
7. Small size, light weight, and easy installation.
Magnetic powder clutch Magnetic powder clutches and brakes use electromagnetic principles and magnetic powder to transmit torque. The transmitted torque is basically linearly related to the excitation current. Therefore, the size of the torque can be easily controlled by changing the size of the excitation current. Due to the above characteristics of magnetic powder clutches and brakes, they have been widely used in the tension control of unwinding and winding in the papermaking, printing, plastics, rubber, textile, dyeing, wire and cable, metallurgy, and other related winding processing industries.
Magnetic powder brake With the characteristic that the excitation current and the transmitted torque are basically linearly related, it can transmit a certain torque regardless of the slip, and has the advantages of fast response speed, simple structure, no pollution, no noise, no impact vibration, and energy saving. Magnetic powder brakes are also often used for dynamometer loading and braking of transmission machinery, and magnetic powder brakes and magnetic powder clutches are often used in pairs.
