The magnetic powder clutch is based on electromagnetic principles and utilizes magnetic powder to transmit torque. It features a linear relationship between exciting current and transmitted torque, capable of transmitting a certain torque regardless of slip, and offers advantages such as fast response speed and simple structure. It is a versatile and high-performance automatic control component widely used in various mechanical braking, loading, and unwinding systems for tension control. Magnetic powder clutches can also be used for buffer starting, overload protection, and speed regulation.
Unwinding The tension of unwinding is determined by the braking torque of the magnetic powder brake in the unwinding device. As the diameter of the wound material decreases, the braking torque must be continuously reduced. In the diagram, a tension detector is used to detect the tension of the wound material, and the tension controller automatically controls the torque of the magnetic powder brake to maintain constant tension.
Winding The winding speed is normally faster than the material's linear speed, so the magnetic powder clutch operates in a slip state, and the tension is determined by the torque of the magnetic powder clutch.
