Wenzhou's packaging industry's total industrial output value has increased by more than a thousand times over the past 30 years

Over the past 30 years, the number of enterprises in Wenzhou's packaging industry has increased from nearly 100 in 1982 to over 5,000 today. Total industrial output value has grown from 43.74 million yuan to 61 billion yuan in 2011, a 1386-fold increase, accounting for 8.62% of the city's total output value. Currently, our city has formed a complete industrial cluster encompassing packaging machinery, packaging printing, plastic packaging, packaging materials, and paper products. There are 36 or more technical R&D centers at the city level and above, 35 high-tech enterprises, and 14 national-level Torch Plan, scientific and technological innovation, and national support projects, as well as 32 provincial-level scientific and technological innovation projects and over 300 national patents. The Wenzhou packaging industry has successively won numerous honors, including "China Packaging Machinery City," "China Printing City," "China Plastic Woven Bag City," "China Food and Pharmaceutical Machinery Industry Base," and "Zhejiang Provincial Packaging Characteristic Industry Base."
