Working principle of hydraulic solenoid valve

Solenoid valves are basic automated components used to control fluid flow; they are actuators.
Hydraulic solenoid valves control the direction of hydraulic fluid flow. They have a sealed chamber with holes in different positions, each hole leading to a different oil pipe. A valve is located in the middle of the chamber, with an electromagnet on each side. The valve body is drawn to whichever side's electromagnet coil is energized. By controlling the movement of the valve body, different oil drain holes are blocked or opened, while the oil inlet hole remains open. Hydraulic oil then enters different drain pipes, pushing the piston in the oil cylinder. The piston drives the piston rod, which in turn drives the mechanical device. Thus, the mechanical movement is controlled by controlling the current to the electromagnet.
